the sons of singapore
the pulau tekong tour is an eye-opener! i thought pulau tekong had only trees and rundown buildings (or rather huts) where the recruits would sleep in. basically, i thought pulau tekong is a forest with zero civilization. it must be the horror stories that made me think that way. i guess this blog entry might look stupid to the guys who’d been through NS cos afterall, it’s just tekong what. but seriously i nv expect tekong to be like this. there’s actually places to take photos! but i don’t wanna look stupid haha
and i finally understand why chwansang (if i didnt rmb wrongly) said the new uniform is ugly. from far it still didn’t look that bad– but if you look at it closely, u’ll know
anyway they played this army experience video during the ceremony, and for a moment i felt really proud of my brother. haha don’t ask me why, the weirdest thoughts occur to me at times. and the commanding officer made the boys promise him that at 9.30pm tonight, the first person they would call is their PARENTS, not their girlfriend. and the boys went “YES SIR!”. it was quite a funny sight
then it was food tasting!
and it actually tastes not bad! my only complain is that they only serve one kind of meat.. 
but this just makes you wonder if the caterer really puts in so much effort for every meal? i’ve got a feeling that the looks of this is just to convince the parents that their boys are in good hands! hur
my brother’s confidence level has dipped to a new low since he shaved off his hair. and i only managed to squeeze these 2 pictures out of him
see, he doesnt even look happy to be in the pictures.
anyway, there wasnt any tears. i felt a little bit she bu de but it wasnt the AHHHHHHHHHIMSOSAD kind of feeling. there was a severe lack of emotions in tekong. every sentence sounded like a command.
“Can all recruits please assemble in the plaza now. Family and relatives, please say your farewell to your sons.”
no redundancies at all.
and in less than 2 minutes, in see all the boys hurrying to the plaza.
